jomsocial toolbar not linking to correct pages

ISSUE SUMMARY:
Several items on the jomsocial toolbar are not linking to the proper page. Additionally, they display the wrong Menu Item Type in the backend.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Create new menu item
2 Select Community -> Show All Friends as menu type
3 Place under Friends top level menu
4 Save
5
RESULT
Menu Item Type displays "-Pending Approval"; Front end link redirects to invite page instead of Friends display page
EXPECTED RESULT
Menu directs to proper page and backend displays correct type of menu item.

Hi Meagan,

- you have conflict menu with "invite" menu on another menu types, I already disabled that menu and its working fine now
- ignore the showing of text "Pending Approval", this is from Joomla, we dont handle that part.

Hello Dimas,

That is not an acceptable solution. We have always had an Invite menu item in our main menu as well as the jomsocial toolbar. It has always worked properly until this last update. The Show Friends and Invite items should not conflict. I believe this is a bug.

Please make sure your Show friends menu item ID is bigger than Invite menu..

Show Friends in jomsocial toolbar has id 849
Invite in jomsocial toolbar has id 150
Invite in Main menu has id 565

Show Friends has the largest ID number and the problem still exists.

We cannot provide direct phpmyadmin access as this is on a cpanel account. What needs to be done?

Ok, I see the new "Friends" item in our Connect menu. Do we need to keep that there? What exactly was the problem?

Hello Dimas,

I had asked whether or not we needed to keep the new "Friends" menu item in our main menu. For now I have disabled it.

There is another issue. Some users still cannot access the "Invite Friends" menu item in the jomsocial toolbar. When they select the menu item an error page is returned with: 0 - Error decoding JSON data: Syntax error. This occurs on 2 accounts that I am aware of now. I will update the first ticket in the thread to include the login information for one of the accounts.

I tried to use the joomla debug feature to diagnose, but no jomsocial pages will load with the debugger on. Only a white page is produced.

Your latest reply was not showing on my pending replies, for the future please make sure you set the topic to "pending support".. so I am sorry for delay answer..

I suggest you enable the Friends menu and if possible but invite button inside Friends menu parent.

Anyway, I just tested the invite friends feature and works fine for me..
