Hi, Edward.
Thank you for contacting us.
Facebook crawler loads to FB what actually "sees" in og (OpenGraph) tags:
snag.gy/xtsEoJ.jpg
So trying to debug:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/shar...ourtclubelite.com%2F
All is correct - og tags provide FB post details.
And they are correct as your home page is JomSocial frontpage:
snag.gy/UtbmEZ.jpg
Content on that page are loaded in modules, but it doesn't change fact that it's still JS page this og's are from JomSocial.
The way to change is to set different menu item as your frontpage. Then og will removed and crawler will seek for biggest image on that page.
Hi Michal,
Thank you for your detailed reply!
Two followup questions:
1) Even if we are using the JomSocial front page as the site front page, how can we get rid of that image? It does not represent our members.
2) Again, even though we are using the JomSocial front page, if you are NOT logged in, you get a very different home page, why isn't that displayed?
Regards,
Dom
Hi, Edward.
1. You hold JomSocial PRO so you can use it benefits :) a theme designer.
Browse to Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Theme designer -> General
And there you'll be able to change frontpage image.
2. Someone already disabled frontpage image and login screen on your frontpage:
snag.gy/4Tcfty.jpg
Also activity stream is set to members only.... so JomSocial frontpage displays... nothing. Only modules that are assigned to it menu item ID. You may enable elements back and they will appear in main content.
Thank you Michal!
I changed the image and enabled the frontpage image but Facebook still shows the wrong image...what am I missing
We have our login in working the way we want it to using the Joomla login module.
Thanks,
Dom
