Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
I work with multisites and I have JomSocial running on almost every site and everything works fine.
There's just one site, which I use as mastersite (
kanoon.de
). This site also has JomSocial installed, but I haven't set the HOME site not as JomSocial frontpage in the menu. Now the registration link does not work.
I set an article as frontpage menu and when I type
kanoon.de/register
a 404 error appears. Once I set HOME as JomSocial frontpage, the registration link works properly.
Do you have any idea that I can run it with an article as frontpage and the registration?
Thank you for contacting us.
Try to create a hidden menu - menu that is not displayed on your site - and add JomSocial frontapge menu item to that menu ;)
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
then the link out of the sign up icon in Socialize is:
kanoon.de/profile/register
and it says: "this area is only for registered users. Please log in."
Do you know any other way?
