If I change the number of frontpage activities in the backend -> configuration -> layout. It does not have any effect. The system is still loading a lot of activities.
I disable the 'Show Toolbar' option and it is also not working.
Could you please check this issue on our dev site?

Hi,

your site using 3rd party component called Jomsocial Profile Types.
that component replacing some jomsocial configuration. please visit that component at joomla backend > components.
and you can find JS configuration for each profile types.
