ISSUE SUMMARY:
We want to know how a manager or administrator can add Karma Points to the existing amounts - I don't think you have anything like this do you?
Some kind of rewards badge etc-- I do not want to merely access the Admin and manually add the amounts I am really looking for something that will add the input amount to existing Karma point Values.

We dont have this option, the only possiblity is you can add this from jomsocial user manager, and edit user points from there.

What would it take to build this customization - it makes sense that if I can already set points for activities that I should be able to add point manually somehow

We cant help you with the customization stuff, but anyway have you checked the user points configuration? maybe you can use that configuration to control the user points.

This is an internal site that human resources are using ...the point are assigned as rewards and activities outside of the site activity. ..really need to allow managers to add points to user accounts ...manually

Like I said, this is not possible, the only possiblity can change it from edit user page from backend
