When a user is registering on the site, and fill in the date birth, jomsocial records the date birth to the day before, when it was completed.

Example: The user date of birth correct is 11/11/1982 and was completed in jomsocial in frontend user profile but was saved date of birth 10/11/1982.

Has anyone had this problem? Can you help me please?

Thank you.

Hi Cezar,

In a highly unlikely event that you expierence issue which will manifest as "one day wrong" date after saving the calendar field, please use your favorite editor to open the following file:

ROOT/components/com_community/libraries/fields/date.php and look for this line

$html .= "dateFormat: 'yy-mm-dd',n";
and replace it with
$html .= "dateFormat: 'yy/mm/dd',n"
Oddly, we did tried to implement this fix into the release, but on every development server of ours it completely breaks the calendar functionality. On the other side, on a sites where the issue happens, seems like the change do the job. These sites are however, very rare and we believe that this issue is actually raised by wrongly configured servers which for whatever reason, do not support yy-mm-dd format.

Warm Regards,

David

Hi Cezar,

Just edit your first post and add your cpanel and ftp access on site info field (only moderator can see it) ... don't post it using reply :)
after you added it in your first post, i will delete your post :)

Hello David,

When I am creating the record, it works normally, I put my date birth and I will next registration steps.

Once created my record, I logged on the frontend website and I entered in the backend admin panel, and the date birth was saved with a day's delay.

The example I gave you was this:

I did my registration and my date birth is 11/11/1982.
After completing my registration, I access my account and my date birth that was saved like 10/11/1982

You could understand my problem?

You did a record on my site? Please make a record and tell me what is the date birth you placed and what date he will save.
Can you do this?

Thank you.

Hi Cezar,

Okay, please make this clear.. this is what i got from your post :
1. new user register on your site.
2. when registration process, new user input birthday date.
3. after registration complete, new user login on frontend which is redirect to new user edit profile page..
4. in new user edit profile page, you said there is something wrong (Birthday date shown 1 day off.. example : in registration process new user input 11/11/1982, but in new user's edit profile it shown 10/11/1982)
5. And then you logged in into your backend panel, go to jomsocial -> monitor -> member and see new user birthday date and display wrong date same like frontend user profile page..

There are something i missed ?? or i was wrong about your problem?

yes i did a record on your site, because i saw everythings work fine..
As that video shown, i was created new member with username test01 and name test01..
if you can record your screen, please do this.. or give me a printscreen..

Warm Regards,

David
