Activation confusion

Even though the site is currently set to allow automatic activation e.g. in user manager : new user manager set to none. Jomsocial is still sending an email with the information..
Once you have completed the rest of registration process, you will receive another confirmation email.

There is no further process as they are authenticated automatically also when i look at the user manger the account is enabled but the activation is not active in the user manager

I am using the jomsocial redirect module to jomsocial authentication....
