Are there more templates coming? Ideally, I think Jomsocial would just be a bunch of module positions, and then the web designer could just mix and match them to do anything. For example, the big image at the top of each profile...that should be just a module, so that it can be turned off, if need be, or given a new layout. But I'm not seeing jomsocial headed in that direction.

Accordingly, having more than one template becomes very important.

We cant promise with that, in version 3.3 we will improve our template layout and design, I am sure you will have more possiblity next time, you can costumize your template well there.

I am using socialize. I don't see that socialize allows me to remove the header image on each user profile, though. Does it? Did I miss it?

This is why I say that Jomsocial templates need to be just a set of module positions. And everything needs to be modules. That way...

1. A new jomsocial template is just a new set of module positions...very easy to do.
2. The web site designer can choose what modules to publish, and arrange them as desired. Right now, removing the header image requires a template override of jomsocial. Possible, but not so easy to do.
