Hello there

I want to Load a Image or Article in the position Joms-main on frontpage for guests, when Jomsocial option Configuration > Layout > Frontpage Activity Stream > Show Activity Stream is set to Members only.

This option leaves a big white space, for guests, that use a laptop/monitor display. The same doesnt happen on mobile devices.

Regards,

David

HI, David.

Thank you for contacting us.
Please, do some printscrens and mark what you want to achieve.
One image stands for 100 words :)
This will help me better understand what you request.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi, David.

Copy this file: ROOT/components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/frontpage/base.php

to: ROOT/templates/your-template/html/com_community/layouts/ (if you don't have those folders - feel free to create them)

Then edit the file.
In line 47 you'll see:

<div class="joms-main <?php echo $is_full = ($moduleCount == 0 ? 'joms-main--full' : ''); ?>">

Just add this below line 47:
<div class="joms-module__wrapper"><?php $this->renderModules('js_my_frontpage_top'); ?></div>
 <div class="joms-module__wrapper--stacked"><?php $this->renderModules('js_my_frontpage_top_stacked'); ?></div>

Now you may assign modules to positions js_my_frontpage_top will give you tabbed modules and js_my_frontpage_top_stacked will give you stacked modules.

You'll need to type/paste in module names as they won't be listed in module position list when assigning module.
