If you have a networking site, and you start making new contacts, thats fine. These are called contacts (or friends).
So in your own newsfeeds, you should be seeing posts made by contacts.
However, is it not rediculous, that, if you have hundreds of thousands of people on a networking site, and each time a person creates a Group, modifies a Group, or joins a Group, then you are seeing these updates in your newsfeeds?
This makes no sense at all! Why would you want to see thousands of groups being created, shown on your newsfeeds , non contacts who have created these Groups, or non contacts who have joined Groups
(Non contacts, are not part of your network)
Please advise!!
Because from what I have seen of a friends website, people are seeing Groups being created, people joining Groups, modifications done on a group (eg new profile picture of the Group) , ie non contacts are shown in the newsfeeds who are creating Groups and joining Groups, and this is not good at all !
Do people really want to see NON contacts creating Groups, joining Groups etc?
You can hide some stream items from Jomsocial backend->configuration->user points, each config item on user points will be respetced to the activity stream items.
Anyway, I dont see your are our valid members, or maybe your account already expired?
this is by design. public groups stream will visible to all users. if you want to make not visible to all users, you can set that groups as closed group.
