I'm wondering this. When my customer makes an account on my joomla! site using the standard joomla! registration page, can this registration also work for the Jomsocial account? Or will they be required to make a separate account for the jomsocial site?
I really want only one registration to take place for both parts of my site. One part is an educational site and the other I wanted to be a jomsocial site. Both however under the same domain name. The jomsocial site can be accessed through the main menu of the educational site.
RTFM Scott! I found the answer where I should have looked first. The FAQ.
"Yes. JomSocial uses native Joomla User object and thus existing users will automagically have their own JomSocial profiles. It will also work with your Joomla template, as JomSocial is just another extension in Joomla."
