ISSUE SUMMARY:
Trying to create a "shared album" for all members to see and add photos.

However when other members view the album and try to add to this album, jomsocial asks the user to create a new album

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1. User 1 creates a new album, set permission to public or members
2. User 2 can see the album by clicking on the album icon
3. User 2 then sees the pop up of the photos from the album, clicks "View album" at bottom of photo next to "like" and "options"
4. User 2 then sees the album with "Add photos to this album"
5. Click on "Add Photos to this album" brings up "create new album" screen or the select existing albums only...

RESULT
Cannot Add to the shared album as the button suggest you can
EXPECTED RESULT
Can upload photos to the shared album
BROWSER
Chrome, Safari same thing

Also once Event photo or Group photo has been added...even the creator cannot add more photo to the album.

Even though the button says "add photos to this album" it asks me to create another.

Hi, Ricky.

Thank you for contacting us.
Basically there is no option that users can create "shared album" - only album owner can upload photos to album he crated.
The only possible way to create "shared album" is to carte in in group so only group members can upload photos there.

You're right about "Add photos to this album" - it's displayed but allows to add photos no to target album but only user owned albums listed in dropdown. I'll report this as a bug.

As a work around I have created a JomSocial Group to add all the people who wants to share photos with... but is there a way to "assign" people into a group instead of inviting them in?

For example if I have a common album I want to share with ALL users... is there a way to bulk assign or auto assign all users into this group ?

HI, Ricky.

As for "Add photos to this album" please, login as regular user (not SU or admin) - button shouldn't be visible.

Yes, you may add members to a group in backend in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Monitor -> Members
