I have this video URL:

If I post it in video upload it works well in desktop but not in mobile version,
While the same video will work If I Post:
Only this URL:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGbxmsDFVnE

could you please upgrade your jomsocial to 4.1.x?
we have some improvement about stream video player. aj jomsocial video settings we have "Video player on activity stream", we can use native player from youtube it self.

To set it as native player works for me, however If I want to use it with Mediaelement.js then is it possible?

Mediaelement.js is a 3rd party library, thats why we have native player option at jomsocial 4.1.1.
so if user got the issue with it, can switch to native player.

I suggest you to upgrade it to latest version. many fixes there.
