Hi,

I'm having difficulty with profile cover photo and profile avatar photo uploads. Nothing happens after user selects desired image

Photo uploads in news stream can be completed but only after album creation. You can then select and use these as profile and cover photo. Some users are reporting even this method is not working.

Screenshots included.

Hi, Dan.

I saw that you posted domain change request - we need to wait till it will be accepted and domain changed.
After that, please, edit your first post and enter correct credentials.
Then update this thread so I could proceed (make sure that thread has "Pending Support" status.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, Dan

This is your server specific issue. I did some tests and uploading photos (for avatar and cover) works in two cases:
- Joomla! SEF is disabled
- JomSocial frontpage/home is NOT default/start page

Photo is uploaded but for some reason it's not set properly as cover. I noticed this issue on some sites but still can't tell what exactly cause this issue.

Current workaround will be to set any other menu item as default/start page and add to it few modules (like activity stream, latest photos and so on) to make it look like JomSocial frontpage.

Thank you the changes have indeed sorted the above photo upload issues, however after these changes I now how a new problem in that when a user logs out, the set page is Front Page but now displays a user message "You do not have permission to view this resource. Please contact the Site Administrator." also the Home button on the jomsocial menu bar defaults to the profile page not to site main homepage which would be desirable. I would have put this in another topic but as it has occurred after implementing the above changes thought it might be pertinent to include on this thread.
