Weird problem with video uploads Any Help Please!

Ok so after having a number of video problems we made the tough choice to move our hosting to another provider now we have been able to upload and convert videos ...Kinda!

so here is the issue we are facing video uploads dosent always work and we don't know why we have checked all the settings and rechecked them we have tried alot of different things and we just cant seem to figure this out heres whats happening.

we uploaded a video and everything worked as it is supposed to the video showed up and the thumbnail showed up as it should the video was mp4 format and was 3 mb we tried another and the thumb was not showing and the video would not play ( it was there in the video section but when you play it it just sits there trying to load but never does)
we ended up trying many different videos of various sizes and types none worked then we uploaded a 49mb mp4 and it worked which was strange since we had tried other mp4 vids and they did not work right all of them would upload and convert but would not play just sat at the loading screen. we deleted the videos that worked and re uploaded them and bam the worked fine.

frankly we are scratching our heads here can you guys please help by checking all of our settings and such and try to trouble shoot our issues

info we are using 2.4 version of ffmpeg and the path is right ( was using the flv2tool and path was right and it made no difference on the issue to have the path in the box or not

we are using joomla 3 and jomsocial 3

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Leon,

at your cpanel error log, you can see this error

Cannot allocate memory: couldn't create child process

it can be related RLimitMEM at apache config. please try this solution:

or contact the hosting support.

wow we are having this checked into at the moment

I was told that the server was at its resource limit which i dont understand but they said they might be a problem with out scripts ( I dou't this cause i can't believe that there is an issue with Jomsocial or joomla but i will get back to you asap thanks
