Sorry, the system needs a proper id to process - can't upload photos

Saw a similar thread, but it wouldn't let me post there. I saw the note about disabling the sh404sef plugin, which I did, but the problem persisted. This is a fresh install. What is the problem, and how can we resolve this? We're launching a brand new site, and this is a serious problem that needs urgent response in order to make it successful.

Hi Tony,

I can not replicate your issue. I created new album "test" and I can upload the photo normally without any issue.
I missing something here?

Did you create that on our site, or yours? Here's the steps I'm doing:

- Going to Photos on my profile.
- Click open album and then Upload Photos.
- Click Add File and select photo.
- As soon as I select photo, before I can do anything else, the pop-up disappears and takes me to the page with the error "Sorry, the system needs a proper id to process."

However, I've discovered I'm able to upload a photo through the timeline status update.

I still can't replicate your issue. please try with other user, maybe the issue only happen with certain users. if so, could you please provide me that user access detail?

Apparently, it's an IE issue. I tried to do it with IE and continued having the same problem (see video clip). However, it worked fine when in Chrome.

I report this to developer. not sure they can't replicate it
