Hi,

I keep getting a curl error when submitting videos from Vimeo. Curl is enabled and Youtube is working as it should.

My host says they need "the server name" in order to open up for it in a firewall.

Any help here?

If you do have cURL enabled and the problem persists, it will likely be because YouTube adds redirection on their Video Page when your server tries to access it quite a number of times. Here's what you can do, edit the file Joomla/components/com_community/helpers/remote.php and add the following around line 22:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION ,1);

What do you mean by "Please post this error here?" If you are referring to the error I receive, I keep getting this:

"CURL error : 7 couldn't connect to host"

Please note that Youtube is working - Vimeo is not. My host is asking for server name(s) relating to Vimeo that they can open access to in their firewall.

I tried below solution which leads to an "internal HTTP error"

Post error means to post error message on forum board.
So the case is that connection to vimeo is blocked by your server firewall.
The only Vimeo host I know is 1.2.3.4:8080.
I think that best solution will be to ask in Vimeo directly.
