I have created different profile types and in admin I can give each permission to create groups and events. I now need to allow only certain profile types to create albums and upload images there. Everyone can view them as normal but not everyone can create them.

I need to HIDE these 'create album/upload photos' links which I think appear in the photo view files. I just need to know how to 'hide' these links from everyone , except admin and specific profile types.

Hello Maz

Unfortunately, there is no such feature in JomSocial yet

- Don't say feature not working. Instead, explain what you tried and what was the outcome.
- When you think you found the bug, try to replicate it on a fresh Joomla.
- When looking for support always provide temporary Super Administrative access to your site. We will ask for it anyway.
- Help yourself and read documentation which can give you answers to almost all questions you may have

Thanks Sinisa. But is there a way to hard code the view file?

something like......

<?php if($profile == 'Business' || $isAdmin || $isSuperAdmin ){ ?> ....etc. in other wordrs if admin or profile name business. (In this, I'm totally guessing the references to profile type)

Hello Maz01

There is no need for guessing. You can see here how to fetch the profilytpe ID or profiletype name of the given user.
