Problems with the search module

ISSUE SUMMARY:

Hello,

I have a problem with the search module. There are no borders around the search field, even at advanced search and the search icon is beneath the field. It should be next to the search field.

The second, when you click at on 'view all results' a search page with no results at all appears. See image.

What is the fix? Thanks.

Your layout issue is related with your current template - it overrides default styles. Please, switch to any other template and see results.

Your second issue is caused by your misconfiguration. You removed JomSocial toolbar menu thus you experience navigation issues. Please, restore JomSocial Toolbar menu item sin this manner:

Profile
|— Change Profile Picture
|— Change Profile Video
|— Edit Profile
|— Edit Details
|— Privacy
|— Preferences
|— Customize My Page
Friends
|— Show All
|— Search
|— Advanced Search
|— Invite Friends
|— Request Sent
|— Pending my approval
Groups
Photos
Videos
Events

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

How restore the jomsocial menu? A re-install of Jomsocial is not helping.

I tweaked CSS and solved the style problem at this point.

Manually, you need to create each menu item manually :)

In my admin is no menu called Jomsocial Toolbar Menu because it was removed. If I create a new menu, at which position do I activate it?

Ok, toolbar is there again with te menu options... Problem is stil there..

For fixing this open this file modules/mod_community_bar/tmpl/default.php and components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/toolbar/base.php, find this code :

replace to :
<?php echo CRoute::_('index.php?option=com_community&view=search&task=advancesearch'); ?>

Thanks for this fix and sorry for the late reply. It worked for the search function in the Jomsocial toolbar. But the problem is stil there in the jomsocial search MODULE. How to fix this?
