that related with server issue. please try to increased
max_input_time to 3000 at php configuration

you can asking your hosting support about it.
and please make sure there is no any IP block from CURL.

Same error As before - (after about 20 seconds):
An error has occurred.
0 String could not be parsed as XML

In trying to fix the problem I upgraded to PHP Version 5.5.12 - there is no magic quotes in that version.
