Module mod_community_members thumbnails not square

JomSocial Expired

ISSUE SUMMARY: I am having an issue with new members uploading different sized avatars. That's fine, but the thumbnails are not square and really make Module mod_community_members look funny. See www.enterthemandala.com/profile (after logging in with <removed for security reason>).

Is there a setting to force ht and width?

Thanks in advance,
Albion

Hi.

You're using outdated version of JomSocial -> 3.2.15. Current version is 4.0.7.
It seems that you issue apply to avatars uploaded during registration, they are not cropped automatically.
When user uploads photo in profile - they are fine.

I'm sorry but for your version no fix will be released. So there are 4 options;

- hire a professional developer for fixing this:
www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers

- upgrade to latest JomSocial version

- ignore it

- try to solve it using css - avatars will be resized while page is displayed (they will loose proportions or part of image will be cropped).

I personally recommend to upgrade to JomSocial 4.0.7... along with Joomla!

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
