I see Karma points but I am not seeing anywhere a user can see what they have earned. Am I missing something?
Also your support page documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Karma_System is incomplete.

Jeff

Hi, Jeff.

JomSocial gives points but doesn't store history so you can't see for what points ware earned.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi, Jeff.

The point is to store points, not their history as this is not displayed anywhere.
If you think that points source should be recorder somehow, please post a feature request here:

1) So from what I read here it is basically just put in place so other 3rd party developers can make a program for it, is that right?
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/User_Points_System

2) Is there another purpose for these points that Jomsocial uses them for without 3rd party integration?

3) Is there any difference between User Points and Karma System or are they basically the same thing?

Thanks just trying to understand what they are for, what they do in JomSocial and how it benefits my members is all.

Kind Regards,
Jeff

Hi, Jeff.

1. Yes, you're right.
2. No the only purpose of points is to show how much users are involved in Community.
3. No, user points = karma ("karma" means "action" in Sanskrit)
