JomSocial Expired

Hi !
I am trying to find a place where I can change the url path from the default profile url under the Profile >> General >> Preferences option.
The default is :
Your current profile URL is http://yourdomain/index.php/jomsocial/ johndoe/profile

I would like this to be:
Your current profile URL is http://yourdomain/index.php/johndoe/profile

Not to take anything away from the 'jomsocial' branding, but I need to use a vanity and shorter url for my members to include in their email signature line to point to their profile page.

I have attached a screenshot to clarify.

Thanks

Hi, Kevin.

You can't do that. URL is generated on menu structure basis.

It means that "jomsocial" menu item is parent for profile. JomSocial in order to work properly needs a parent menu item that is JomSocial home/frontpage.

I link you want to have "johndoe" is parent element for the rest of menu items and this will not work... it can't be set like that.

You can change "jomsocial" to anything you want. It is alias taken from parent menu item (probably you called it "Jomsocial"). You can call it "community" or whatever. But it ALWAYS be a first element in URL path.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
