Hi;
I got 3 types of errors when testing a new installation.
1°) when a user logs off, there is an undefined variable message displayed in the frontage banner (see print screen): "components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/frontpage/guest.php on line 29"

2°) The email received by a new user with the confirmation link indicates an "undefined variable in the footer of the email" (see print screen below): "components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/email.html.php on line 203"

3°) The user receives well that confirmation email (as indicated above) and the Administrator receives well the indication that a new user is in the process of validation his/her email address.
However, when the new user validates the email address by clicking on the link, the user gets the green message on the front page, but then there is no email sent to the administrator with a information that a user is pending validation. In addition is the user is validated manually, he/she doesn't receive an email notification of acceptance.

HI, Yves.

Thank you for contacting us.
1-2 Those are just php notices. You see them as error reporting in your Joomla! is enabled.
Browse to Backend -> System -> Global configuration -> Server -> Error reporting and set it to DEFAULT or NONE.
Notices are not errors and may be ignored as they won't influence your system performance in any way.

3. User won't be notified about enabled account if you do it manually in backend. Only if SU clicks activation link in email it will be sent.
Make sure that your SU account has enabled "Receive system email" in account configuration in Joomla!

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal,

Thank you for your feedback.
About point 3, the problem is that the system doesn't send the second email to the user after he/she clicked on the validation link of the first email.
do you have any idea why the second email is not sent?
regards
yves
