ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have been running a Jomsocial site at www.mfa-sibs.org since 2011. Lately the site is running very slow. I've enabled the cache, and gzip compression, but it is still slow. It is an https secured site and I realize that encryption may casue it to be a little slower, in the past it has been much faster event though it was an https site then too. Can you help me diagnose what is slowing it down and steps I can take to speed it up? I'd really appreciate any advice you can give to me.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 log into the front end and navigate the site
2 log into the back end and try to create - edit - save an article

mostly the issue related with server ability.
please try ti set frontpage activities default number to 10. at jomsocial backend > configuration > layout.

if still cant, please asking your server support about ther server performing with big size data of site
