That's correct, this feature was deprecated as it was allowing core files hack... what was overwritten during upgrade.
The only recommended method to edit JomSocial template files are layout overrides. That is copying files from:
ROOT/templates/your-template/html/com_community/layout/folder (if you don't have any of those folders, feel free to create them)
"folder" is folder name where file resides... if file is in main folder "layouts' then you may omit "folder".
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
In previous version there is a file called profile.index.php but the JomSocial 4 I can't able to find profile.index.php file.
Can you help me to find it.
Sure: ROOT/components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/profile/base.php
Cover image and whole header is here:
ROOT/components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/profile/focus.php
