I cant see your test site here, please you edit your first post and provide it there...

anyway, what is the different your test site and your live site? since in live site is working fine, maybe you edit htaccess / server setting / install the 3rd party on your test site?

sorry about that, it is updated now. I thought I have added on this ticket as well.

The difference is:

Live site - I had to restore from the backup cos I can't have a broken site that's why is working fine!
Its back to Joomla 3.3 & JS 3

Test site: joomla 3.4 & JS4

Please investigate

I see, but well.. your FTP access is redirect to your main site right? not to your test site? because when I edit some code there, it doesny take any effect on your test site. Please advise...

Hi Ivan,

Please check again, I just fix it.. this is weird issue which the guest can't call our template file people.browse.php.. so I avoid to call that file.

Hi Dimas,

that's great, the error is gone! But the profile name and image doesn't show, instead there is a huge black box.

It would be great if it looks like in JS3. Images are attached.

My solution is just a temporary, actually it should like in version 3.x.x.. and this is bug in version 4.x, I already reported this

Hi,

just wanted to check if there was any development in regards the Internal Server issue.

I have just upgraded JomSocial to v4.0.6 on my test site, and still get the same error.... I would really appreciate if this can be fixed so I can upgrade my live site and start using the benefits of the new JomSocial...

Hi Ivan,

Well, actually this issue caused by server setting, our developer try to fix it and seems not related with jomsocial, for some reasons your server cant access file people.browser.php if that user have restricted access.

Would you link to discuss this internal server error with your hosting provider, please? and let me know what they find..

I have followed the instructions and changed the code, now the page is blank with this error:


Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?>' in /home/yssyzsna/public_html/components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/people.browse.php on line 116

any ideas?
