Email sending issue

Hi
I've issue with email sending.
When I send a private message, the notification email is not sent to member.
The sending message function in group option doesn't work, I get no error message.
The cron job is set correctly.
The other component send mail correctly.
Jomsocial version 3.2.1.6

I'm sorry but I can't confirm your issue. I received both PM and Friend Request email sent from your site:
prntscr.com/6fsifd
prntscr.com/6fsiqb

Also, you may check here: Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Monitor _. Email Queue that emails are out.

It just take a while when email is in... that depends from your server.

Your users should also check their spambox as emails could be there.

Hi,
the issue is not solved.
It doesn't happen for all user but It seems that only some users are blocked by jomsocial.
When you send message to these users no mail is in the mail queue.
When you send mail to these user from other joomla component everyyhing works properly, they receive the message, so It's not a spam issue.
I can send you user and psw of these users.

Hi, Giusy.

Users may choose which emails to block in JomSocial. So if it happens only for some users ask them - or check if they didn't blocked some of email notifications.
You may also reset those settings globally: Backend -> Extensions -> Components - JomSocial -> Configuration -> Privacy. And button below list at right.
Blocked emails are appearing on email queue and are marked as blocked.

Please, check it...

I've checked but these users have not blocked notifications.
There aren't mail blocked in the mail queue.

It means the notifications ware SENT - they ware just not RECEIVED. Thats different case and may indicate issues with mailbox. They may be rejected by antispam filters on their mail servers (spam assassin). Solving mail receive issues are out of scope our technical support.

I confirmed that I receive notifications, your other users also - this means that this feature work correctly.

But if i send an email to these user email address, from other joomla component with the same smpt configuration, the email are received so i thing It's not a spam problem.

Yes, that excludes spam issue... then please, check their privacy settings. It's possible that they may block those emails out...
That will be the last check - if there is everything fine I'll assign developer to this thread.

I've checked that the private message setting is ok.
These two users are users that I use for community management.

Please, edit your first post and in "Miscellaneous' add credentials fro one of those accounts.
I'll do tests.
