its nice comp and have a lot of features, but to many un finish things, i am non feeling confident to publish it to my community, each day brings a new bugs and problems, you said that jomsocial 3.2 will be wih out any problems, but there is all the time small things.
now, suddenlly the avatar of a few users is broken, why is that? i am working years with joomla and everything is OK, i am working years with jbfconnect and everything is great, but now a few of the avatars is broken, and a few of the thumbnails of photo and video is broken!!!

i dont know what to do, i put a lot of work an my site, but it is look not pro.

i am working on it 3 month allready.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience, but you must be aware that no extension is 100% free of bugs as mistakes could happen - we are humans after all. Most of issues in JomSocial are 3rd party issues or misconfigurations. So, please, always focus on describing your issue. In most cases we could locate source of issue and fix it.

1. In which profile avatar URL is broken or missing? I checked site user list and it seems that no avatar url is broken: . Some of them have default male avatar but I'm not sure it that is the issue... you haven't described it well..

2. Video has no thumbnail as there is no video at all: this is conversion issue. Make sure you:

- you have FFMPEG library installed on your server (ask your hosting provider for assistance)
- make sure that you entered correct path to FFMPEG library in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Videos -> Video settings -> Path to FFMPEG (you have none declared)
- make sure that you set up cron job correctly

sometimes its my avatar, its random. sometimes when i am sending a reply my avatar is broken and just after i am doing a refresh its ok.
maybe its the connection with amazon s3?

about the video i will check and let you know.

Hi, Amit.

If its happening irregularly and after refresh it's loaded again then it may be related with:

1. S3 service - for some reason it loads resources slower than the rest of site
2. Hosting - your server doesn't want to wait for S3 resources and terminate request
3. Your Internet connection - some request send by your browser are terminated

Try to use Chrome for a while with enabled error console and pay attention for error notices displayed there. Especially for 500 and 403 errors.

i fount that it is happening just inside a group or profile (at the main feed everything is ok), when i am sending a reply all the avatar thubnails of the person that send the reply are broken and after a refresh the avatar are back.
i use the console as you ask and i am getting 404 not found message.

i am getting that in the line of the cosole: joms.jquery-1.8.1.min.js:21

I think that thread you found is not related with your issue. It's quite strange but it seems that js script generates wrong URL to image... at least when try to write a message to a user: prntscr.com/4e9gja

Correct path is:

domain.il/images/avatar/thumb_372c62633ca94a8deebd3032.jpg

but script generates:

domain.il/2014-05-07-10-01-00/2014-05-07...3ca94a8deebd3032.jpg

No one reported similar issue so it seems to be site specific issue.

i found the problem and i found the solution but i find it hard for me to implement it.

1. the problem - "Search Engine Friendly URLs" all the problems occurs when it was ON, after i switch it off everything work good and even FASTER.
2. i want that the "Search Engine Friendly URLs" will be on, so i upgrade my PHP from 5.2 to 5.4.

its seems now that everything is OK but the "Search Engine Friendly URLs" isnt working when its on, and this is an htaccess. problem.
i need to change the htaccess. but i dont know the code that i need to add there.

if you can help me it will be great.
BTW
i can live with not friendly URL, but it will be nice to have that.
