The dropdown button in the activity stream doesn't appear to work. I have just upgraded to the very latest version.

Please advise.

seem the problem because easydiscuss. easydiscuss not compatible with jomsocial latest version.
easydiscuss override the stream items class, that make dropdown not working.
please disable it.

something wrong with your protostar template. if not using protostar, no problem with dropdown activities.
i think your protostar has been changed/customize. to revert it you can upgrade the joomla to latest version.

No, it's still not resolved. Protostar has not been customized so I don't see how this is the problem.

What else can I try?

please upgrade your Joomla. and the issue will be gone. But I saw at our site, the Protostar file not original anymore (index.php).
all changes will revert back if you upgrade the joomla. becuase Protostar belong to joomla package

the issue only with Protostar template that are you using. The code at that template not original anymore, someone modified it.
with update Joomla, the Protostar code will revert back to original again. and this issue will be resolved.
