Plugin Jomsocial Redirect - When User log out from profile site

Hi,

I have installed and enabled the plugin: Jomsocial redirect with following settinhs:

Override com_user registration = YES
Redirect back to previous page = YES

When Redirect back to previous page = Yes then I think the settingsbelow have no effect. Is that right?

Szenario:
A user Login to the Community site. Now he clicks to his profile and after this he logout from the profile site.
Now he is still at the profile site but:

1. The background image is missing

2. He gets an error message: You do not have permission to view this resource. Please contact the Site Administrator. But he didn´t anything wrong, he just wanted to logout.

I think for this szenario in this case there should be a redirection so that the user whos has logged out from profile will be redirected to the startpage of the community instead to get a error message.

You're right but: if user is logged out and stays on the same page then system is trying to display his/hers profile... and there is nothing to display in addition profiles aren't public, right? System is confused...

As for image - we get: Undefined variable: heroImage so no image is displayed.

So this setting should not be used at the moment.

I report it as a bug.

- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

All right Michal. I understand what you mean.

I let this as it is for now, cause I have a multilingual website where, after Login, the user will be directedto the same page. I found no ohter solution to hold this user, if he speaks not the language which is by default, set to german and this user is speaks english.
So if I would deactivate this settings and the user switched to english and then he Login he would be directed back to german default page.

As thias site is under construction I will wait until the image issue is resolved by one of the next updates.

Please try this fix:

Upload file to ROOT/components/com_community/controllers/profile.php (make safe copy of original file)

Then please post here about effects.
