When I send a private message to another member, an email is sent to the recipient, but the email does not contain neither text or the attached image!

You're using outdated and unsupported version of JomSocial.
Please, consider to upgrade to latest version ASAP.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

How do I get the chat to work? I have the latest version of JomSocial installed, but send message is available and does not work
Sorry, I spoke too soon. Yes, you have JomSocial 4.5 and chat is available on your site.
The problem was that you misconfigured your site menu by disabling JomSocial toolbar menu items (that casue redirection issues) and set the lowest menu item ID related with JomSocial to link to profile. So you was unable to reach Inbox.
I fixed that by setting manu item 103 to frontpage and enabling inbox in JomSocial Toolbar.
