Hi,

The contents gets saved as plain texts even though I used some formatting for the group description.

Hi, Frederick.

Yes, there is. By default group description field should come with WYSIWYG editor: prntscr.com/482zvd
Click on source and you'll be able to enter html.
Not all tags are allowed e.g <iframe> will be removed.

I see that you use TinyMCE. With this editor you also are able to enter html.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hmm, strange.

It just doesn't work.
Maybe because I'm doing it via admin console since I blocked normal users to create groups.

It still gets saved as plain text no mater what I do.
Is it a bug?

Confirmation.

Yes, via admin menu it does not work as advertised.
This seems to be a bug.

If I create the group via normal create link in the menu bar for normal user, it works just fine.
