Hmmm, there is something wrong with your Joomla! instalaltion.
Settings in backend are not reflected on fronted.
I disabled Joomla! SEF: i.imgur.com/GVBsAkY.png
But URLs are still in SEF in frontend: i.imgur.com/1ySihCe.png

Your issue is caused by SEF error. Events URLs are used without final parameter as event ID and name: i.imgur.com/FhBUm0y.png

Do you use any SEF related components on your site?

We use only Joomla SEF for this site. I changed the permissions on the config - now you can change the settings for sef and non sef. After that i disactived now the cache and deltete tthe permantent cache - Try it now .

Ok, now I know what is the issue here.
Events are created but:

- they are created twice
- they are created without eventid (eventid = 0)

no customization- original jomsocial and database. We try not to change to much - to not have problems later with updates.

I created a clone of the site - so you can take over this site url for testing - if you want to recover the site I created a freeze of the site - so you can recover it - if you login for phpmyadmin you can change to tools - Wiederherstellungspunkt - Erstellten Wiederherstellungspunkt einspielen / löschen - wiederherstellen you can recover the site.

Please check it. not sure why at some database tables there are no index field. are you did import the table manually?
I re-add the index field at events table. so the events works for now

my suggestion. please uninstall jomsocial, but you need to delete all tables with prefix jos_community_.

I tried to create events and i think the problem is fixed. Great.

We migrated the an old Jomsocial to the newest version and imported this manually - right.

If i follow your suggestion and uninstall jomsocial + delete all tables with prefix jos_community I will loose the content - that is what I don´t want.
