AA events being posted on 31 December 1969...

Hi...thanks for all the support guys...we're loving jomsocial!!!

Got three little problems with events though...
1. Can't create events from login (Hello me) module / no moderators
(attachment 1)
After making an event, we get a message saying "New event created, but is under moderation. Once the admin publishes the even, you will then be able to access the event" . Once I go to the social page, the event comes up as 1969 (attachment 2).

I'm kind of stumped.

Hi, Matthew.

I logged in here: your-domain.com/magazine/.
Clicked My Events in Hello me module - I was redirected to My Events (list was empty).
Clicked Create event.
The only issue here is that I can'r set date of event as fields are READ ONLY. (you probably applied fix for event date that was reset when event was edited... ?).

Is that correct?

I saw in your backend that Events are not moderated so no notice like you posted should be displayed.

Is it so... or I missed something?

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, thanks for the reply,

Yeah...it's odd, but not being able to set date of event only occurred in the last few days.

How would I change the event field from 'READ ONLY'?

We're not moderating events in the back-end, but we still get the 'under moderation' notice.

It's all kind of bewildering to me ;-)

Hi, Matthew.

First apply this fix: www.jomsocial.com/forum/events/21004-tim...-event-issues#108819
Then post here so I could test event creation on your site.

thanks for your help!

I installed the events.form.php file into the ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/events.forms.php folder, but I didn't have any luck with improvement. It still shows 1969, the title doesn't show, and I still get the message it's under moderation.

Hi Matthew,

could you please provide me super user access level at backend? because current user not as super user but only administrator.
and I need to install Akeeba backup to make local copy of your site. this is for debugging purpose. I dont want damaging your site. because deep debugging to risky.

Regards,
Albert

Hi Matthew,

the problem with database, table jos_community_events missing summary field. so new event failed to save. execute this query from phpmyadmin

ALTER TABLE `jos_community_events` ADD `summary` TEXT NOT NULL AFTER `location`;
after this, you can create the event again.

and about datepicker issue at event creation, seem there is some customization with jomsocial files. you must re-install jomsocial from joomla extension manager to revert the code to original.

Albert
