How can I make it easy for guests and non members to invite people to an event?

By default only the member of that event who able to invite the event, but if you want to avoid that rule, you should hack the template file components/com_community/templates/default/events.viewevent.php, find this code :

THIS DOES NOT allow for guests or non member to invite anyone other than existing members, I want to be able to invite NON members to an EVENT how can we achieve this - it makes sense to invite non member to an event to get them to register to be able to attend don't you think? I want to be able to invite people via EMail address please

Oh non site-member, I am sorry you cant invite by email, this feature is not available, if you want this you should hack the core code.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard so far - it is possible for people to invite to the site via Email... how silly is this that one cannot invite to an event

how does one fix this? this should be a MAJOR feature for building a community

is it possible to have a site member invite a NON SITE MEMBER to an event via EMAIL?

why have you not responded, we need to know how we can invite via Email .. to an events for non members

You cannot invite a non site member to an event via email. That is not how the product works

The reason is because you have to be a site member to attend events. They would be not able to do anything regarding the event until they registered.

Inviting a NON member to the SITE or the site Event would encourage them to register!
