I have the latest version of JomSocial running on the latest version of Joomla 3.
I have tried to post a status update on both of the events that I have created on my site, but when I try the text just disappears. If I only type in one word it goes through fine, but if I type in 2 or more words the text just disappears and nothing happens in the stream.
Hi, James.

This is htaccess issue, please make sure you use original htaccss file from joomla itself for fixing this
I haven't changed anything with the htaccess file, I did a fresh install and then I installed jomsocial, I've only added one 3rd party plugin which isn't even enabled.
This is a brand new website, so I'm not sure why the htaccess file would already be causing problems.
Hi James,
Well, this issue caused by htaccess I disabled "Use URL rewriting" configuration and everything is working fine..
thank you

Hi james,
Do you activate the mod_security on your apache server / cpanel configuration? I think this issue caused by it. Please you disabled it..
thank you
Also, this is no longer just a problem in Events, it's a problem site wide on all status updates. I found that if a posted is pasted into the Status Update field it will go through and post, it will only not post when a message is actually typed into it.
Aha james, I forgot you created this topic, so you dont need create new topic anymore (in another topic I said that :))
I need the cPanel access, so I can inspect this issue further..
thank you
Hi Jemas,
Ah you are using goddady server too, i think this is conflict issue Jomsocial and godaddy, anyway I just curious with this one, can you ask to godaddy to disabled mod_security on your hosting? because when I tried disable it from htacess is useless, I wanna make sure this issue caused by mod_security or not.
thank you
