For some reason guest to my jomsocial site are not able to view events without logging into the system. They are continually redirected to log in. It is imperative that guests are not forced to sign up in order to view events.
How do I rectify this?
I've searched all of your documentation and can find no solution. Thank you in advance for your help.
First of all I strongly recomend to upgrade JomSocial to the latest 3.1.0.4 version. Secondly the problem is happening because you had "jomsocial's event" menu item set as "registered" privacy, I changed it to public and now it should works just fine.
Sorry for that, yes the main site is buggy, my apologies I forgot that you guys are so great that you go in for me to correct the problem. We are using the dev site to rebuild the site because of the bug you saw.

is the site being developed, it has already been updated to the latest jomsocial, and after making the change you suggested, i still cannot view an event as a guest.
