I have multiple profiles enabled so that one category of profiles can create events while the other cannot however both are able to create events.

Please you deleted the create event sub menu in Jomsocial toolbar, because we do not check condition in jomsocial toolbar, the create event show / hide only in Jomsocial sub toolbar..

So one can potentially by-pass the security option by simply hard-linking to the, " Create Event" Page regardless of profile type in essence minimizing the effectiveness of the security.

Any potential on create a work around for this issue / security update so only certain profile types can view certain links?

Default condition for checking this only in jomsoical sub-toolbar.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. We apparently had a real issue on our forum and some posts simply were not visible for us. Our developers are currently fixing this issue and this should not happen again. I hope this didn't create a problem for you.

We just released version 3.1.1, please you try it.. I hope it will solve this issue
