Jomsocial in different languages & apps

Hi, Anais.

You mean custom fields for profile?
Just use language constants as fields title: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Translate_Elements

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi, Anais.

No, you misunderstood - COM_COMMUNITY_FIELD_ABOUTME constant doesn't exist as this is just example constant. This is constant meant to be created by YOU :) You could call it whatever you like e.g MY_CONST_BUMTRALALA. Then you create override using constant created by you and add text for it. You need create override using this constant for EVERY language you have on your site.

Hi, Anais.

1. Edit profile field title ad use own constant e.g MY_CONSTANT_GENDER
2. Browse to Backend -> Extensions -> Language manager -> Overrides
3. Choose your language from dropdown under left column (e.g en_GB Frontend)
4. Click "New" button
5. Use your constant as constant title
6. Type text for that constant.

If you're still uncertain hot do do that, please search in Google, there are many articles how to do it:
