Please you try upgrade your ijoomla installer, you can get it on "My Account" jomsocial package, if this is still not working, maybe next time you need to install via file uploader like I did..
Like I said before on shared hosting some of feature maybe wont work perfectly 100% due server configuration is very limited there, include this ijoomla installer as well

that was perfect workable.
i think by mistake i have installed it by guru - and got this issue.
i try to reinstall it from last version of joomla - let`s see what is happening.
