Dearest Dev team rather than throw in a support ticket, I look primarily for a quick answer the Approval pending menu link and any generated link from the community options fails to link to feature and creates a no access permission error, this actually seems to affect all links on the Jomsocial 'friends' menu bar but when signed in under SU account on frontend links function but permissions are... The lack of permission access the menu item is usually the sign of missconfigured navigation system.
We tried to outline some common scenarios here documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Toolbar_Explained

In short, you should disable SEF on your site, see what is the menu item ID assigned to that page and try to debug the permissions on the menu item itself.

Zurkster Actually I have noticed recently that if I use a landing page and JomSocial is NOT default homepage, the system attempts to link via a URL that includes the homepage address, however if I set default as JomSocial homepage all is okay. I can't tell you more without looking at the site and specifically, navigation setup.
As you can see on this site we don't use JomSocial as a homepage, yet there are no issues with linking to those pages at all.

Please be so kind to send us a ticket with access information, so we can actually look at your site. Until then, there is not much we can do.

Reluctant to update

I've just got my head around losing quite a bit of work, but no point dwelling on the past, I am however reluctant now to update both Joomla and JomSocial, Both requiring an update. Joomla 3.6.3 to 3.6.5 and JomSocial v4.2.5 to 4.3.0v. That's when all my problems started, was it JS or Joomla or both?

Integration of access controls and redirection features...

Since using JomSocial, I have noticed a number of different symptoms with logins and the JS system Redirect plugin. I also found that it's difficult to balance the multitude of options that various platforms offer by way of external connectivity. Joomla is overridden by JomSocial user management and attempts to redirect logged in users to one location, then struggles with the default redirects...

Even with SU listing in the options is enabled, I keep getting an error when I attempt to login with an SU account on frontend. (See captures). A 'Registered' account will however login with no complications. Any ideas?

Zurkster RESOLVED: AKEEBA RESTORED! Yes we use special characters! Sinisa Krisan You should not do that Zurkster as it is the feature of Joomla and hence, all other components should follow it.
However, i suggest you to immediately try to login using Joomla native login forms and see if you can login when you completely leave JomSocial out of the equation.

Zurkster At the moment, the entire site is functioning 100% as it was prior to the recent Joomla 3.6.5 and JomSocial 4.3.0 update, I am pre that nightmare. just reluctant to update either. I know what's waiting around the update corner. I created a WAMP virgin installation of Joomla 3.6.5 and JomSocial 4.0.3 using the JS updater. Back again on Christmas day with yet another error, this time with a fresh install of Joomla and Jomsocial with no added anything running on a localhost setup. the error is as a result of attempting to import the user list. Firstly you are missing a language constant on the import box and secondly there is a format error during import. Any ideas why I cannot import my user list?

Why is the support for Socialise v2 template $79 for only six months, yet JS pro component is only £179 for a whole year support? I can't seem to justify a separate support fee for a template that is very infrequently updated or improved? £79 To support a template seems somewhat of an unfair price for repeat customers.
