Is there a way to set a group to be automatically assigned to a user when they complete the registration process?

a Guest You can assign groups to users from the backend, but there is no current option to add members to groups during registration automatically, that would be a cool feature. But would lengthen the sign up process, something you want to avoid, it discourages potential members from signing up with too many registration options. This is my opinion, I could be wrong! Stephen It would not lengthen the process really. You would just predetermine groups that new users would get like "Announcements" and they are automagically added to that group, no need to select it on the front end. 8 years ago

Stephen Michal - nice, but apparently they are having issues. When I try to download it I get "Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Could not connect to MySQL." 8 years ago

Stephen Well I can't contact the maker of this plugin at all. I understand there is a free version and a pro version but their site is totally down and it looks like they don't plan on fixing it. Anybody have the free version they can link me to? DeeEmm Auto Group for JomSocial is the plug-in I'm looking for.
