SuperUser can't change his password at frontend

Hello.
It sounds strange (and I don't know it's related with J! or JS), but one of my site's superuser reported that he can't change password with frontend. And I replicated it too with another account:
1) login as superuser "support".
2) navigate to profile page and press "Edit Profile" button.
3) type twice new password to "Password" field.
4) Save changes. Message appear that everything is OK.
5) logout
6) try to login using new password
Result 1: Site display error message (wrong autorisation)
7) try to login using OLD password
Result 2: Logging success.

Everything works OK if try the same with "registered" user.

P.S: If you will get success with changing password for "support" (superuser), can you please inform me (send me new password) by any way (for example posting it to "Require help from Admin/Mod" area)?

P.P.S: Users also reported that problem appears befor updating to JS4.4.

Thanks.

HI, Dmitry.

Thank you for contacting us.
Super User password can't be changed or recovered at frontend due to security issues :)
The only option to change SU password is backend.
That's a Joomla! principle ;)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi. Thanks you. :)
I know that it's impossible to recover password but didn't know that it also impossible to change password in frontend too.
When I press "Save changes" button, it display Message that everything is OK. This message generates by JomSocial? May be it should display some extra text "Everything is OK, exept changing password" (if user is in suoerusergroup)?
Thanks.

HI, Dmitry.

Notice is a general one and form do not distinguish between admin and common user password change attempt.
From form point of view all is ok but password change requests are just nulled by Joomla! itself.

HI, Dmitry.

The issue not related with JomSocial.
It's caused by System - Admin Tools plugin. that plugin prevent super user to edit the login detail from frontend, security reason.

Here the steps:
1. turn off System - Admin Tools plugin from joomla plugins manager
2. clear joomla cache
3. goto frontend as super user
4. edit the account from jomsocial
5. save it

result:
super user will able to changing the password
