After a member logs in, the system is displaying text from the Front Page on the member's profile Home page instead of displaying their profile. See attached.

the backend login is not valid. so I cannot have a look to jomsocial redirect plugin setting.
could you please make sure the setting on that plugin? make sure you put the correct redirect location.

that not profile page. but jomsocial frontpage. there is stream that because the setting that you put is like that.
please goto jomsocial configuration > layout. and set Frontpage Activity Stream.

and about that text, you need to settin introduction module to guest access only, not as public. you can do it from joomla module manager.
