I don't know if this is a new feature, I guess not.

In my social network, it's not rare that people write long posts. I would like that on the wall the posts only show like the first 300 characters.
In the actual version of JomSocial, is there a way to configure this.?

Open jomsocial backend->configuration->and find "Character Limit" setting, change to the lower value.

I changed it to 50, and it did not work. On the wall, long posts are showing themselves as long as they are.

I believe I did not communicate my idea in a clear manner.
Let start again.
People publish using more than 1,000 characters. Right now I reset it to 15,000 characters again. I want it that long. To give them freedom to do so. But When someone publish something longer than 300 characters it shows the whole post, in other words you could see the whole 1,000 characters on the wall. I only want people to see about 750 characters follow by "SEE MORE". So right now is set to show the whole post which is not a good thing. Would you please let me know where is the setting to manage that problem.

I forgot to tell you that the front page is showing english.
This is a spanish site. it us to show everything in spanish before. Of course It was set this way.
Somehow it revert to the default english option.
where can I change the language for the front page?
And another issue is that safari, opera show the inside of the site in spanish. We like to have this way. But for some reason Firefox show the inside of the site in english. Why?

Oh I see, but I am sorry we dont have "see more" feature right now.. but we will put it in next version 3.3
