Can anyone tell me what if anything Jomsocial or Joomla has done for compliance with COPPA, the Children's Online Protection Act? http://www.coppa.org/comply.htm

It seems they expect us as website owners to not allow those under 13 to register without a parents permissions, yet I cannot find anything within JomSocial or Joomla that allows for a registration tool to prevent or allow this. Help?

by default Jomsocial not support that yet. you can put user voice at here:
uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-jo...ial-feature-requests

but for 3rd party module, you can try this:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/6143/details

maybe that module can give you solution.
