I'm using Jomsocial on 2 websites. In both websites the same error occurs, no matter what browser or template you use (even tried it with jomsocial socialize template - which doesn't work at all... but that's another story).

Both sites are Joomla 2.5.17, use a template by joomlashine, newest jomsocial installation

When you want to create an event and click on the "create event" button after filling out the form nothing happens.

for example here: www.food-intolerance-network.com
german: www.nahrungsmittel-intoleranz.com

What's the problem here?

This issue was fixed in latest 3.1.0.1 version, so please upgrade it to this version and it should solve the problem.
