Error on login form since update

Just updated Jomsocial, and I am now getting the following on the login page:

Also, my site is LIVE and active. I cannot uninstall and reinstall. I will NOT be rebuilding from scratch. I would prefer not to provide third party access to anyone.

PLEASE ADVISE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE HOW TO FIX THIS ERROR WITH YOUR COMPONENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, just disabled chat in config in the Jomsocial backend, and that fixed the problem. HOWEVER, that indicates that there is something WRONG with your chat feature - a feature that I would like to use.

So please advise how to make that work. Since it is part of the paid package. Thanks.

Actually, all the other links on my network are now also broken, so basically, your upgrade has screwed everything up.

Hi Michal,

Since one of the issues is very visible on the login page, and since it's also clear that the Chat component is causing another issue, I would assume those have nothing to do with my site?

Let's start with things that you can fix without me having to create a temporary login for you, and see what happens? Since everything went wrong when I updated the component, I am pretty sure this is a Jomsocial ONLY issue, so really, the rest of my site does not need any interference until we can eliminate the problems with YOUR component.

Once that's figured out, you can tell me what this means:

Then you can tell me why chat doesn't work.

I believe that you can also tell me why, since the update, when I try to visit the page, I get 0 - Error: 0, Unterminated String? Again, this is ONLY since I updated the component, so it can ONLY be a Jomsocial issue.

As much as you obviously want to root around in the backend of my site, I have seen threads here were you broke other people's sites doing that, and I'd rather not have anything ELSE go wrong because of this. Let's fix what can be fixed without that risk.

After THAT, we can look at access to my site's backend.

I should also note that I reported the issue with Chat a long time ago, and it's NEVER been addressed. I've had to have it disabled all along. Pretty crappy service so far actually...

But how you expect me to do that if I don't have access to your site?
I don't know your server settings, don't know what JS version do you use.
I don't have access to FTP to check files if needed.

Sure I see the issue on the frontend.... sure I may register as regular user. But I can't do anything more than that.... so all of this will be useless.

My shift already ended 2 hours ago, but I know that this is crucial for you as this is live site. Please, provide your site credentials so I could help you.

How do I do that without posting them here? Obviously I do NOT want anyone else logging in to my site!

Also, while your shift may have ended some time ago, I assume there was someone on shift 8 hours or so ago when I first posted?

Also, I suppose it goes without saying that I don't need you touching anything other than Jomsocial on my site?

Okay... again. How do I give you credentials without posting them on a public forum?

I assume you don't expect me to do that? Because that is COMPLETELY out of the question.

Do you have a secure portal I can use? An email account I can forward them to? I've already created a temporary super user login, but I WILL NOT be posting it publicly here.

I hope that's not seen as arguing. It's just good sense.
