Yes jomsocial will work on any joomla 2.5 or 3X site. You would need to customise some styles in Jomsocial to make the buttons and some other elements the same. if you have a reasonable knowledge of css then this is not to difficult.
Jomsocial will work on a localhost but we are unable to support sites on a localhost because we are not able to see or access the site if you have any technical issues
jomsocial has an Italian translation at 100% but support is English only
